Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly told the club's chiefs to bring Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso to the Nou Camp for him to give Jordi Alba a competition in Spain.
Marcos Alonso has been impressive for the Blues this season in the Premier League playing in the Blues' last two games. He also scored the winning goal against rivals Arsenal.
August 31 is the day the ongoing transfer window will close in Spain, and according to the report by Don Balon, Barcelona want to sign Marcos Alonso before the deadline.
Marcos Alonso is currently Maurizio Sarri’s first choice left back at Stamford Bridge and has three more years left on his contract with the Blues.
Since he joined Chelsea in September 2016, the Spain international has scored 15 goals for the Premier League side.
